This was my nephew’s choclate cake recipe. Easy to make. Never fails

• 1½ c sugar
• ½ c butter
• 2 eggs
• 2 t vanilla
• ½ c cocoa
• 2½ c flour
• 2 t baking powder
• 2 t baking soda
• 2 c boiling water

Cream sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and boiling water. Mix just until blended. Preheat oven to 350. Pour into greased 8 X 13 inch pan and bake for 35 minutes or more until toothpick comes out clean.
